Anyone have info on the history of BS23R0B242265? It is up for sale at Mecum Glendale 2025 in a few more weeks.
The car presents as a very nice restoration but was changed from Automatic to a 4-speed at some point well before this sale.
Photos in Documentation section include the Window Sticker (printed 0131) and a Sales Invoice out of Virginia.
Overall, this is an excellent car with considerable documentation although there is no Broadcast Sheet in the Documentation photos.
The engine is listed as a rebuilt 426 but does not say "numbers matching" in the Mecum ad.

Fender tag appears to be a reproduction (note the "S" in BS23 is very odd amongst other known markers for repro fender tags).
The Scheduled Production Date of 213 is quite a bit off from the other HemiCudas built with sequence numbers close to 242265.
Most were SPD of 203 in that range of VINs. With approximately 1,339 cars built per day, the likelihood of this particular HemiCuda being 213 is doubtful.
An easy mistake without a Broadcast Sheet when seeking to make a reproduction fender tag.

BS23R0B242265 previously SOLD at MECUM Indianapolis for $103,400 on May 21, 2021. Car has been vastly improved in appearance and condition since that 2021 sale.

Earlier info shows this car was in a Mopar Collector's Guide article as being stolen out of Illinois circa 2005. It was possibly recovered and sold again prior to 2021 before the most recent corrections and restoration.

If you have any additional info on this HemiCuda, please share. The car is extremely nice and could be someone's dream HemiCuda at a reasonable price.
