Center link hardware

What are you supposed to have on the center link for nuts and the copper pins , do both have nuts and copper pins or nut and copper pin to tie rod and lock nut on the idler arm , im tired so may not be making sense but just looking for clarification if possible.

Cotter pins and castle nuts. If I get a chance I'll try to dig one out for a picture.

Can't speculate as to why but the factory put cotter pins on, that was their way of making sure nothing came loose.

3/4 or 7/8 depending on where they were used. I would think 7/8 for the pitman & idler but I'm not near my car to confirm right now. 3 point which are different than what you'll find comes with the aftermarket front end stuff these days.

Many of these photos are from the white & blue 440 R/T that was restored by the late Dave Walden from ECS, quite an over the top resto. I saved a lot of photos that were posted back when the car came out, to refer back to.
