howdy ! i’m redoing my 74 barracuda and when done i’d like to get to the 70 ish bumper look . currently my 1974 bumpers are in old condition with a hazy finish so i’ll be getting new . i’d like to eliminate the big rubber bumper guards (?) and go with an early 70 look . what do i need to do this ? are the 74 brackets compatible with the early bumpers or will i need new bumpers and brackets? or ? ….

I believe 70-72 bumper brackets are the same, 73 & 74 are different.

I put 72 brackets on my 73 and moved them back towards the body. 73 bumpers fit fine on mine with the bracket change.
