I would start by asking what rim diameter , larger wheels have far less sidewall bulge .

I just upgraded wheels on my 71 Barracuda. 245/60r15 up front and 255/60r15 in back. I could have got more tire in back but I only had 15x7 wheels. I was shooting for very similar diameter to avoid a raked look.

Personal preference, I would say. I think most would agree a non performance convertible like mine would be best with no rake. I think a rake only works on performance cars shooting for that 70s era street hot rod look.

Just wondering what the max front tire size people are running on a 70 Cuda
Thanx
I am running 255 40 17 tires on all four corners on forged aluminum 17 x 9, +10 offset wheels. The 25" tire diameter helps for clearance on the front. A larger diameter tire of the same width would not clear when steering.

I like those wheels
Who makes them?
Volk Racing. Unfortunately, they discontinued the +10 offset in the model that I bought, just a few years ago.
Fortunately, I knew when I ordered that Volk eventually discontinues less popular offsets, so I bought six wheels right after they started offering a +10 offset.

LIMEGREENAAR,
A couple of questions...
Manual or Power Steering? 245s will add increased slow-speed steering effort on the front of a manual steering car. Power steering negates this issue so the 245s will work fine. Stick to 225s/235s with manual steering.
What wheels do you have now or plan to buy for the front tire selection? 15" x 7" factory wheels can easily use 245/60-15 tires on the front. 15" x 8" aftermarket versions of the Rallye or Magnum 500 wheels can easily use 275/60-15 tires.
