Well guys my street/strip car broke just days before Drag Weekend and so I did some last minute stuff to my T/A and took it. I put 1086 miles on it and made 10 passes and two diffenrent tracks over 4 days. While the times it turned in were embarrasing, I did have a good time and it really allowed me to sort out the car and make it much more fun in the future.
Getting fuel near home for my trip to Phoenix. 373 miles.
Quick stop to adjust the clutch, this is the beginning of a few days of trans troubles.
Hit a little rain
In-n-out for dinner
Tech inspection at Wildhorse Raceway (Firebird)
So after many adjustments the clutch pedal went from nice and soft to a little tough to roak hard and no disengagement. After a few phone calls I found someone willing to let me use their lift to pull the trans out. The problem was the clutch fork came off the throwout bearing and bound the whole assembly up.
I purchased Quickfuels jet plate kits for the outboard carbs and made 6 jet changes over the weekend.
