Looking for a rebuildable or great Edelbrock 4150 650 cfm for my 340LA. Any ideas? Money is very tight right now.

You could run a wanted advert - but watch out for scammers. I would only deal with known members.
Edelbrock carbs have been advertised here before.
Buying second hand carburettors is a gamble at best.
Have you tried Woodruff - he could have a good core.

If you can't find the Edelbrock carb you're looking for, I'd definitely go with an original AVS and rebuild it.

Of course my first preference would be to grab an LD340 (or the Mopar Big block stolen concept Edelbrock Air Gap 😁) and run a nice rebuilt Thermoquad!! It's a heart racing, ear to ear grin producing sound when those secondaries open up! And usually a bark from the rear tires as well! 😀

I've got a 20 year old Edelbrock AVS (I think?) sitting on the shelf that needs a rebuild I'd give ya for very fair. It was on my 440 for many years and rarely run, but after sitting that long it had leaks. Rather than rebuilding it I just stuck an AVS2 on and was happy with it.

I'm not sure the exact model but if interested, I'll go grab some pictures and info for you. I haven't looked at it in a long time and don't recall exactly what it is. And yea, I'm the new guy that no one knows here, but I promise I wouldn't rip you off. ;)

Forgot to look at it while kicking around in the shop, but I think it's a 1406, which I think is only 600 cfm, not quite the one you're looking for. Either way, I'll be out in the shop tomorrow and will post more info if'n you're interested.

Thanks man...you sparked my attention on the AVS2 600 CFM but am unaware of which part number to select. I am running the stock 3671918 intake I just picked up. End product is stock 1973 340LA stock pistons, heads are odd 2.02/1.88 s/n 3671587-8/-9. I am converting to a roller cam and lifters. My builder is closely directing me and doing all the head work as well as short block. Forged steel crank.
Thanks for your help man.
