Just acquired my challenger. Thought I’d join here. It was my dads car new. Found it 1000 miles away. 45 years later

Had a lot of changes. Besides color it now wears a 70 front clip sports a 440 and black interior. But the vin matches. All body panel numbers match ie core support cowl etc.

Great finding your dad's car and buying it back after all these years. Makes the car special.

Welcome. I too am with Bbody as per Street GTX. I'm one of those lucky folks with one A,B and E-body cars. Each site is different. E-body is more dominated by parts and availability searches. Which you will see is very understandable. And why they typically fetch more $$ when completed.

I’ll skip the A-bodies every time and go for an Imperial or 3 to round out my alphabetical Mopar habits!

Lol. Never owned a "C" Actually never owned a Dodge car for that matter. 10 years ago I noticed I have only owned Plymouths. And thus the theme.

Tell us about the Cuda!
Bought as a rolling body in '04. The car was heavily modified for then (mid 70s) Pro Stock attempt to compete with the big boys. (Modified Stock by today's standards.) It's a V-code with the original 440 6 pack and 4 speed long gone. And the hemi that it once housed was bought back by the original RR owner to build back to stock. Thus the car was a rolling body since the early 80s. Rumor has it the car was never quite in Ronnie Sox or Dick Landy league. Serving as a backup car in 78 Gator nationals to a smaller team. (I have not been able to verified.)

Being the car was so heavily modified. K-frame, steering, shock towers, firewall for a motor setback of 7". I thought I would keep the drag race theme, but attempt a more Pro Street version. (Not sure if it's less expensive than build to original. But easier and more fun!) So I befriended Joe Schubeck in Vegas and bought one of two Schubeck monster 904 ci DOHC motors that exist. The motor sits where the once hemi sat on a plates to the frame. (Off the K-frame) I'm still working the project. And someday hope to wreck something.

But enough Cuda. It's a homecoming Challenger story? Still need detail pics and plans posted?
