I was initially planning on swapping the front and rear IRS, and a NAG-1 into my 71 E-body. I've since decided to stay with original suspension, and put in a modern hemi and a manual transmission.

I've been looking at the Tremec t56's and it looks like a substantial amount of cutting of the torsion bar crossmember needs to take place. I was wondering what other models everyone is installing? Ideally requiring less cutting.

Thanks

I am doing a T-56 swap (from an auto) into my 72 Cuda using the kit provided from SST. The one exception I am considering is adding an additional top cross member brace - such as this;

70-74 E & 71-74 Mopar B-body Crossmember/T56 Magnum

I want to create a solid crossmember trans mount similar to the factory style - I don't think you can have too much support in a unibody...
