Interesting that the 71 is darker than 70.

That's quite the car.
Curious if it retains it's broadcast sheet.
Thanks a bunch for posting the fender tag!!!

U- USA ordered
A01- light package
C55- bucket seat, no console
J25- 3 speed variable wiper
L25- trunk compartment light
dual chrome exhaust tips
drip molding
am radio
Shaker hood
Accent Stripes Delete

I'm curious why the accent stripes delete. What would have triggered the accent stripes in the first place. Anyone?
I do have the broadcast sheet. One thing I always wondered about is the sales order number. 000274 seems like a low number considering it was built in March.

The VON is what I was looking at as well. Very low. 274th vehicle order number. Many numbers behind the vin. This would have been ordered some time back in summer of 69 (speculation) and finally created in March. Almost a year.
I wonder if there is something on the Broadcast sheet that explains the story. Something was unavailable early but became available in March for the car to be produced.
If you are comfortable, please post the broadcast sheet. Curious what that item might be.
Could the delay be the shaker hood? Interesting.

I will try to get a decent scan or picture of the build sheet.

I've always been a bit confused on the VON vs VIN number and SPD. My '70 is SPD 820 (1st week of production), VIN of 100322 is really low, probably 1st few days of production..... But VON is 017258. Is VON just sequenced off total # of all body styles ordered? If that's the case, it would seem this Challenger was put in the order system *really* early (like day 1) when the order books opened.

Welcome to FEBO from the desert! Nice looking 71 Challenger! Pretty rare being a JH and having a N96 shacker hood.
