Hello all!
I've recently joined the group, and I'm really just looking for some information, and possibly some reliable resources. My dad owned a 1970 Hemi Cuda. It's been in the garage my entire life, and I've never heard it run. My dad recently passed away, and unfortunately, I don't know a whole lot about this car. I know it is an original, and it ran when he parked it 30+ years ago. He told me several years ago that it would need some work to get it on the road. I would like to get it fixed up and running again. However, I am in no way mechanically inclined, and I don't know the first step to take in order to get it going. Truthfully, I don't even know how much this car is worth. I've had people tell me anything from 75K to 250K. So I'm really just looking for a point in the right direction.

Welcome to FEBO from the desert!! You're going to get a lot of requests for photos, especially an original 70 Hemicuda! Very helpful people on this site and probably some near enough to help in person. Original 70 Hemicuda would be 250K plus unless it's all rusted and smashed up (which I'm thinking it is not)!

Welcome in. That's a rare car and worth a good deal of money if it's a real hemi car. If the 5th digit in the vin on the car and the fender tag in the engine bay at the bottom of the is an R you've got one there. If you ever sell consult with an expert before making any decisions on it.

Before you post pictures of the car. Ask what you should or shouldn't show. Such as the last 6 digits of the vin (sequence no) on the fender tag and paper work. Window sticker, broadcast sheet or other paper work. Title You have the Title? Just keep that privet for now. There are a few members here you can contact through PM. They are very insightful. I'm just saying not to broadcast it all over the internet until you know what your dealing with. YES pictures please

I have spent the last 2.5 years restoring a 71 Hemicuda so have gathered a lot of knowledge. I am in Northeast Ohio if I can be of any assistance, just let me know.

Welcome to the site from Michigan! As others have said, you also have my condolences for the loss of your Dad. My recommendation is to find a trustworthy mechanic to evaluate your Cuda to see what needs to be done to get it back on the road. Get some references.

Thank you! No, its dirty and dusty, but there's little-to-no rust that I can see. The body is in pretty good condition, from what I can tell. It does need some other work - there's no carpet inside anymore - but otherwise, I don't think it's too bad off.

My dad did make sure to let me know about the R. He was very proud to have a car with matching numbers. This is my first attempt at finding a reliable expert on them, because I don't know many people that are into muscle cars anymore. I'm not sure that I even want to sell at this point. My main goal is to get a rough price to get it running. It could use a good bath, but for the most part, I think it's still pretty nice!

Yes, this is my first attempt to find someone that knows something about them, and can give me more information about it! I don't know what steps I need to take to get it running again!
