Puking Water

Guys - I have replaced my water pump (High Flow) , thermostat (185 Degree High Flow) - gauge is normally in the middle. When I stop the car I have water puking out of the overflow tube and a gurgling sounds coming from the engine. I have a 7 PSI cap on the radiator. I was told that I may have air in the system so I took off one heater hose and let the car run as I was adding water to the radiator. Everything seemed fine until I took it out for a long drive and bam it started puking water out again and continued to make the gurgling sound. Would a 16 psi cap help and what is the correctly way to remove air from my cooling system? Any help you guys can give me will be greatly appreciated.

16 lb. is the correct cap. 180 degrees is the proper thermostat temp. When bleeding all of the air in your cooling system you need to make sure that the heater control valve is fully opened, heater set to maximum. Also remember that unless you are using Evans waterless coolant, you should use a 50/50 mix of DISTILLED water and an ethylene glycol coolant. Buy 2 gallons of each. If you have an empty water bottle available, pour 1/2 gallon of the distilled water into the empty bottle and the rest coolant. Now you can pour the remaining water into the coolant bottle for a 50/50 mix. Now you have 2 gallons exactly of a 50/50 coolant mix. Repeat as needed to completely fill the cooling system. Put a piece of cardboard or a large towel in front of the radiator to speed up the warming time to get the thermostat to open. If you do not have a coolant recovery bottle on your cooling system, you will have to let the air in the system go out the radiator cap. So leave the cap loose enough to not cause any pressure build up.

The systems seek their own level. If the temp gauge isn't showing hot, then don't worry about it. Your probably over filling it.

Thanks guys for the ideas - I will try them an update. I am so happy there are people out there in the Mopar community that are willing to share their knowledge.
