I replaced the turn signal switch because the tab that cancels the right signal was broken off. The left turn indicator cancels fine. I reinstalled the steering wheel and made sure the splines lined up correctly. I plan on taking the crush can off tomorrow. Is there a problem with the crush can not properly seated? I had a problem with the gap between the the crush can and the steering column. I thought I fixed that problem. there is still a gap of 1/4 inch. Could the metal piece that cancels the the switch be off? Thanks,

If the crush can is sitting too high the wire on the crush can may not reach to tab to cancel
The left cancels, the right doesn't. I replaced the ignition key when I replaced the turn signal switch. There were parts missing. the only part I replaced was a snap ring. I think this is keeping the crush can from going all the way down. I'm going to take the sap ring off and see what happens. I also bent the right canceling tab up, about an 1/8 in.. This was mentioned in another thread. I included a couple of photos. Thanks
