Just acquired my first E body, a 72 Red Cuda. The bucket seats seem too low for an old guy like me. Can you experienced E-Boys give me your advice on how to raise? Seat spacers between the seat rail and floor? Or.... to the upholstery shop for a rebuild and additional seat padding?
I am happy to be a new member of the E-Body Forum and enjoy reading all your good questions and answers.

I know this sounds stupid, but I had the seats in my Challenger reupholstered and new seat foams were fitted.......................now I have to tip my head down to read the clocks properly at night and it feels like I'm sitting too upright.
I might try modifying the angle of the seat back, can't be that hard to do

I know Procar sells adapters for their seats for the cudas. They may make a spacer for the originals...If you havent sat in a procar rallye seat, your missing out. They feel like your sitting in a BMW or Range Rover. Very good quality. I know some guys will only run originals, but they are a great alternative.

Thanks for the replies. I am 5'10".
And I know about the ProCar seats but the Cuda is 99% original and really want to keep it that way.
I am going to pull them out today and look into spacers first.....
Thanks all !!!

Yeah I'm 5'10 too, average height I thought, but I know what you mean about those BMW seats, my wife has a new M3 and the seats in that are incredible!
A friend of mine has some '03 black M3 seats in his 70 Road Runner and they look fantastic, I think I may start looking for a pair for myself
