I recently looked at a 71 cuda needs resto car wasn't for sale but the guy did say to me to make him an offer on the car. It is a 340 4spd original shaker car. needs full resto. my question is how much more does the shaker add to the value of the car? and how many 340 shaker cars where made?

Not sure how many were made, but I think it adds a significant amount to the cars value. I have seen complete shaker setup go for as much as 4K including the hood.

Thx for the reply. I'm looking to buy a 71 340 4spd cuda. It needs alot of work . Just wondering what a non matching 340 4spd cuda shaker car is worth when done? Are they worth 60 when done?

That would depend on your definition of done. All numbers matching, to the right buyer, $60,000 may be possible. By all numbers matching, I mean every date code of every part of the car being correct. The car has to be as new as the day it was delivered to the dealer. Non numbers matching, in this market, I would guess in the $30,000 range would be possible.
