The amazing thing is 75's and up to about 80's used a very similar style of cruise unit.
Listed as GM.

I just saw an inexpensive unit that popped up when I searched eBay for "70 Chrysler Cruise Control Module and got excited! It's getting harder and harder to use cruise control these days, even here in southern Arizona. So much freaking traffic!

As the seller says the gears move freely, that is definitely worth the $50 all in price. So I snapped it up. Thank you, Xcudame!

Just to close my quest, I want to thank everyone for your help. The replacement cable did the job (when cut to fit of course). I ended up using only the end of the ebay servo that includes the gears and the flywheel and transplanted it into my original servo. Everything works perfectly!
