Drove my 73 back in September for a nice cruise, parked it in the garage and put the battery tender on. Left and went to our other home for 6 weeks, came back just before Thanksgiving. Tried to start and allow it to run and warm up. It would crank & fire but then die, thought it was possibly the ignition switch. Decided I would replace it as I wanted to replace the key tumbler as well as door tumblers so all were matching. Replaced door tumblers and ignition switch, tumbler, and turn signal switch. Still same problem, crank, start and die. Read through some forums and replaced the Ballast Resistor and coil. Still the same problem. I need help! What is possibly a for sure problem, not just a throw parts at it answer.

Ballast resistor. ign 1 wires that feed it or bulkhead connector. Be sure the pug under the steering column is clean and tight and bulkhead connector. With the ing sw on you should have power at the ballast blue wire same at the column plug blue / white. Blue wire is run. Brown is start.

Thank you, I had surgery for Dupretens contracture on my left hand yesterday but hopefully can dive back in next week on trying to figure this out. Got a friend coming to help that is a lot smarter on 12v electrical than me! Hope to get it fixed soon as thinking of selling due to life changes.
