My neighbor told me about a local car show in memory of a girl that passed away from a brain tumor a few years ago and her favorite color was purple. How could I say no?

I got to meet her mom and hear about her story. It was a pretty cool event and I think lots of people liked seeing a real purple car there. There are a lot of lowriders and that style of car, I was the only Dodge at all.
Plus, at about 15 miles this was the furthest away I've driven since I got the car running again.

I love the slot rims !
Thanks! I know they're not factory wheels but when I got the car back in 95 it had a set of mismatched slots on it and the style is kind of stuck with me now. The fronts are restored older slots and the rears are new us mags.

Great looking ride!
Best part of it all sounds like you got to drive the furthest yet. That's always gratifying.

You mentioned a "real" purple car, do you have a right up on your car and it's options on a thread here?

Thanks!
I should probably clarify, I didn't mean to refer to it being a factory plum crazy car, just that outside of the Mopar world, purple cars aren't very common. And by the looks on most people's faces, they hadn't seen one before.

That being said, as far as I can tell it is a factory plum crazy car. It doesn't have a fender tag unfortunately, but even when I pulled the original brake booster, there was plum crazy on the firewall behind it. Someone painted the engine compartment black at some point.

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll go ahead and do a post with everything I know about it. The short version is it's a real R/T, 383 automatic. It has power steering and originally had power drums all around. It also has a rear window defroster, which I haven't seen very many of. I bought it back in 95 and used it as my daily driver for about 5 years. I'm at least the 3rd owner, and the story I got was that the original 383 blew while the original owner was running from the police.
