Can anyone give me an idea of what this floor mount cassette player might be worth? The pedestal appears to be for a C body. Once I figure out value it will be for sale. Thanks

I'll give you an ball park idea. You have to base the price on condition and demand. Condition is everything. If it was a R35 The demand is higher. This is an option to some. As far as condition. Fait to poor everything there. Needs cleaned and tested or fixed. maybe used as parts. $400-500. That might be a little high.// Very good condition everything there clean and working. Needing very little done. Clean and grease inside and new belt. Tune up. $800-1000.// Very good and and I mean very good to excellent condition if even NOS with mic. $1000-1600?// NOS with mic might bring $2000// Like I said condition is everything that sets the price point and demand is set by availability of the number of buyers disposable income.
And that's all I have to say about that. Pick you chocolate.

Buy the way I have one too and there are others out there. A console mount. I'm not looking to sell but I consider it a bargaining chip. I did work but it need checked out. $500-800?

If I understand it right. I could be completely wrong. You might be right. There was a floor mount and a console mount. The base was used for floor mount. The one I have was console mount. I took it off myself.

When it comes to console mount verses pedestal, here are the different plastic shroud bases.
First picture is the plastic base for console mount...notice the bottom lip about 1/2 inch around and the corresponding bracketry that mounts cassette to console.
Second picture shows the plastic base for floor mount..virtually same plastic base but without the 1/2 inch lip.
The console cassette base with the lip is the hardest item to find in my opinion.
Third picture shows the two together.

The part under the bracket that I’m referring to is shown in the last part of that thread you posted. They are secured together using six screws. In between them is the front part of the console(which is not shown in the picture). I attach a screen shot of it for you.
The other two bases in that thread are for non-console cars, left one is for B and E bodies, with either manual or automatic(column shift), the right one is for C Bodies.

I might have it. I'll have to look. I got it in exchange decades ago, for a debt that was owed to me. Along with The molding for the doors,1/4s, hood and fenders. I think their a little hard to come by too. I was trying to buy the car but that's what came about.
