So the angle is off maybe because of the Edelbrock TM6 intake .
Any change of intake manifold almost mandates changing or modifying the throttle cable/kickdown bracket. When the bracket is incorrect it causes the throttle/kickdown to be at a weird angle. That will certainly affect proper operation.

The Lokar setup mounts the throttle/kickdown bracket on the corner stud of the carburetor so you can use any intake and it will be lined up correctly.

Hey, it's not pretty because I had to modify both the throttle cable and the kickdown leakage, but it's been this way for about 125,000 miles! 😁
I need to buy a four barrel throttle cable and it would "clean" up a lot better. I could get my throttle rod switched over so it's the correct orientation, but, heck, it works!

Not pretty and works is way better than pretty and not working.

Kinda like a Savage Rifle, not the prettiest girl at the dance, but everyone I own shoot sub MOA! Just took my 70 Challenger for a ride! Wee! Better than an E-Ticket ride at the fair. 😉

I totally agree , when I purchased my cuda it was perfect , dirty , old parts , rusty bolts but it did not run great and had 4 different leaks that I had to clean everyday , now 3 months later and 10k into parts and labor because it was poorly taken care of before me it will look nice .

I was just kidding about the looks , I was fine with mine but leaks and wrong parts don't work , plus I'm new to owning a classic mopar , it's fun learning .

Oh, I admit, my 70 Challenger is pretty ugly! When I was driving her daily, they didn't have near the aftermarket goodies they have now! And since she runs so good, I'm afraid to update her too much! But I have a lot of new goodies for her!

I wasn't happy about all the work and parts because I already spent more than I wanted on the Cuda but man , it looks cool .
