I bought a white headliner from legendary for my 70 Challenger. Little did I know I thought it should be white. Is it true that a white headliner is an off white? The seats and other trim is white white. I s this the way they came?? They told me the headliner is correct. The guy from Herbs told me they gave me the wrong one. thanks

The original interiors were white. They are not the bright white that is sold today. Originals were more of an eggshell color. The best way I can explain it is to say an original white interior with aging will be too yellow and most reproduction material is too white. It sounds like your head liner is correct. The question is do you want to match the rest of your interior?

Thanks 6pak,Everything will be new when done. My car had been switched to black over the years. I just like the purple with the white.

Many white interiors were switched to black when there were no reproductions. Black held up the longest. The white interior panels would disintegrate in the sun. I had fits with a white interior convertible due to sun. I bought and still have NOS rear panels for it. I always ran used ones because they went bad so quickly. It is going to be restored and it is also a factory purple car. I will finally use the rear panels. I wish you the best with your car.

hi all, i'm trying to finish the headliner for 73 challenger. i got the felt insulation adhesive to the metal before putting on the headliner. i have hard time keeping the bows in place even with clips on. it requires five bows but it just kept popping off the railing edge. i'm doing it by myself that makes even harder. any tips to finish off this headliner project will be appreciated. backintime

Read RestoRicks headliner instructions. There are a lot of good tips in there.

I got a bunch of those orange rubber dipped clamps at a local hardware store. They worked great. You can't have too many.
