Here’s my disconnected 3431077 wiper motor running from off, across the switch’s sweep, to park showing the correct end position of the crank when off. My wipers work 100% perfectly.

The linkage would appear to be fine and correct. It runs fine at the slow setting and parks OK.
Still wondering if the clocking of the motor could cause my particular issues. Obviously, the clocking is important, or they wouldn't have the different settings.

My 70 Challenger wipers work ok, but I do get them hanging up on the lower windshield molding. Any solutions? Hard to do much without risking either molding or glass.

My wiper motor would not work also, i pulled it and did the jumper wire test, nothing... I took the entire motor apart and put back together ( note: getting the brushes back on the armature takes a LOT of patience , use a small hook tool ) Nothing, I took apart again and cleaned / sanded / polished ) the armature ? or whatever the brushes come in contact with, it worked ! test on a bench using the 12Volt jumpers, i used a batt jumper box. NOTE AGAIN ! This was a bit involved and PLEASE only try this as a last resort and ONLY if your comfortable with elec motors.... be gentle with the wires connecting the brushes. Thanks MopeCarGuy for the clocking info !!

WhiteGP, my motor does work, it just only runs at the low speed. It parks OK too.
Does anyone know what changing the clocking actually does?

Do you know if you can just loosen the 5 screws and reposition without fully removing the cover as EW1BH27 suggested?

Not recommended. t you can just loosen the screws so you can just turn it loosen the screw by the index pointer just enough to lift out of the notch & turn. If you are thinking of moving yours it is correct for your car . I posted a diagram. Repositioning switch plate does not affect speeds or park, only where blades park & arc blades travels.

Bill, I want to make sure I know what I'm looking at. I think you are suggesting that my motor is clocked correctly, but the diagram you have shows that my pointer should be in the most clockwise notch, but it is in almost the most counter-clockwise notch. The part of my image at the blue arrow is not the pointer, although it looks like part of the cover. It is not. It is behind it. My pointer, I believe is at my red arrow, and would seem to be incorrect. What do you think?

Next if that dose not work remove plug and check to see if you have power at the bulkhead connector.

This may help to clear up some confusion - or add to it.
Page 8-100 of my 1971 factory service manual shows the plate clocking position listed by car model.

Steve340, could you post a picture of that page?
A while back, someone posted a link to a free download of the service & chassis manuals, but my bookmark no longer works. Anyone have this?
