Well the air filter and valve cover set came in and can't wait 2 see how it looks on the car. I also heared from the shop that the engine is fully machined. Waiting for the last parts and the rebuild can begin
I thought i change the internals before reassembling and other performamce upgrades can be added later on. I use the money now for mopar performance valve covers and air filter. Then i got a complete and clean 318 who runs like it should.
Makes sense right? There a less and less number matching cars so why would i take it's value. A number matching car should always stand above an engine swap
There not very common in europe no, but still if i can get a 340 or 360 i still wouldn't swap it. I rather have the number matching 318, a 440 or hemi would be more difficult to say no 2 but i'm sure the prices for them make it less difficult
There some rules ofcourse, u must have a regular car so u don't abuse it as a daily driver. These rules are made so car fanatics can drive there old cars.
In the Netherlands u don't have to pay taxes for an car older then 40 years. U only got insurance cost and u can drive here. I pay €45,- for insurence fully covered.

I'll will make sure they check the deck height before choosing the pistons, he brings them to a specialist in machining the engine. They can check everything there and provide us with the information we need.

The entire engine is getting checked en machined by a guy i know who's doing it for the last 16 years. I think it's safe to assume he wil check everything like he should be (i hope). If there's more info available i let u guys now. Think i got a lot info i can look at, thank you to all of u.
that's the bigger problem the american cars are common here but shops that sell parts for them ain't. Most effective is ordering online and let it ship here, if i find Dutch online stores they add for basic parts almost €200,-/€300,-.
The car is apart because it's getting a revision (don't if i translate it correctly) every part is getting refurbished or replaced if neccesary. I wanne get more hp because some parts are more logical to replace and make it as new. Labor is expensive in the Netherlands so i can let them clean up...
