I need a 1969 RB Starter 2875560 dated somewhere between September and Middle of November 1969 for my Challenger. Any help would be appreciated. I can also use parts such as a correct dated barrell.

Hey there, I'm not sure if you're looking that specific starter just to keep everything original, but I used a starter off a dodge Dakota and they work great. Not only are they the size of a (mini) starter, they work much better than the original ones. Just FYI.

Thank you for the suggestion. The starter is the last part that I need to complete the restoration of my Challenger, so I want the dates and numbers to match the build date of the car. Hopefully someone will have a starter or parts!

I have this one that I am almost finished assembling. Not sure if the 479 on the field coil is too late for you or not. The zinc die casting is NOS as are most of the internal parts.

I also have this one that is all rebuilt and tested, just need to respray the barrel and get the overspray on diecast housing. There still is some overspray left that I didn't completely clean off. the 279 sounds to be a little earlier that you are looking for.

My cars fender tag shows it was scheduled to be built on 11-15-1969. Actual build date was around 11-30-1969 according to Dave Wise. The engine build date was 11-25-1969. So let me get ahold of Dave and see if the 479 is too close or will the 279 work. Thank you for getting back to me. How much do you want for the starter?

Just wanted to say thank you for letting me know about the two starters. Currently I'm going to Carlisle in July and see if I can find one.
