For that you should use aluminum beer cans but you'll need a spool gun and different bottle of gas.

That flux core wire is rubbish I put the one that came with my welder in the trash where it belongs even in an emergency (when the gas or wire runs out) better off waiting till you can get replacements then using flux core wire and no gas.

Wanted to spray the front inner fenders so I can spend the colder weather installing the front suspension.
Outer radiator frame can now be blacked out as factory.
Happy with the result!

Finally picked up the front left floor pan AMD sheetmetal.
Looks to be of good quality and correct metal gauge.
Have to determine how much I am going to cut out and replace.

Looks like the floor pan is ok up to the torsion bar support. If it is, I would go from the firewall seam to the center of the t-bar support. Then it wouldn't be visible from under the car.

Yup and all the way to the door opening and it looks like the patch goes all the way up to the firewall seam? If so take it all the way to the joints if possible. Then you would only have to buttweld the one edge, way less work and much easier welding that way.

Original black Rugs were in poor shape and could not be saved. As I removed them, two original stickers found under the rug.

First sticker shows the rug date as 10/11/1969.
My SBD is 10/06/69.
The k frame is dated: Date Code 2939 -1 = October 20, 1969 Shift 1

The second sticker looks like a data card with the year 1969 on it. Not sure what it was for? Appears to have squares on it for data. Anyone know what this sheet was for?
I will continue to compile data on the build date codes on the car and parts.

Installing upper control arms, very tight fit w minimal collateral damage on the alcove paint (to b touched up). Also cleaned, rust proofed and painted the lower control arm. Happy with the look. There should not be further rusting with the sealer and paint. (Eastwood products)

Very nice. It look's like your making good progress
Thanks all. I actually was looking at a light gold / yellow paint that looks like organisol for the LCA's. Was easier to rust proof and paint in dark "metal" color

Your card may be a quality control card. The broadcast sheets were made from cards also.

Upgrading torsion bars from the factory .90 to .92 as part of the front end rebuild.
Not looking for overkill for a 340 car.
Mopar Performance torsion bars for a great price.
