Es ist eine Herstellung in Wetzler deutschen , der mich gesandt , um ihre Anlage im Jahr 1998 die Herstellung Name ist ein Gusseisen Firma mit dem Namen Buderus Tour. Vielleicht haben Sie davon gehört haben ?

Paints done so now it's time to build. I'm going to have a lot of questions because when I purchased the car it came all apart in boxes and I was not the one that took it apart. Very little was tagged and in baggys. Could be a fun game. We can call it "Whats this part"? (lol) I purchased a Chassis service manual but it does not show everything.

I was wondering if someone had a nice picture of where my throttle cable bracket goes. I thought it went under a couple of intake manifold bolts but it did not line up. My intake manifold is an Edelbrck with a new Quick Fuel Slayer 4 barrel carburetor.

I think I figured it out a few days ago.
I got the power steering all hooked up and the gas line run to the carb.
With the aftermarket Edelbrack manifold I had to modify the throttle return spring bracket.


What do you think about the Mopar blue air filter cover?? I don't know if I like it or not?

Back to your car.... the work you did the last days looks good. What Kind of QF did you use ? 680 VS ?

About the Airfilter.... I would go..and search for a 340 OEM Airfilter assy.... ( because your engine bay deserves it ! )

It's been pretty dry with not much wind causing some of the best colors in years.
I agree about the air filter canister. I like the old original orange air filter canisters. I don't have one. I see them on ebay every now and then. Sometimes they go for a lot of money. All stuff that can be done down the road. Focus and goal now is to get it road worthy with as much stuff I have already as possible. The QF model # is a 600 QFT Slayer. Working on radiator next. Local radiator shop can clean, pressurize and leak test for me. Don't know if I want to go with electric fan or conventional (suggestions??). I am going to eventually add a condenser and air conditioning.

I would go the electric fan route if you plan on attending car shows. They have saved many cars when you are doing low movement idling for extended periods of time. Manual fans just don't keep up at idle.

If you are open road all or most of the time then stick with simplicity of the manual.

Food for thought. All new cars use electric fans with a thermostat. I would think it be good for paint and electrical components to keep the fan running after the motor is shut off too.

I would go the electric fan route if you plan on attending car shows. They have saved many cars when you are doing low movement idling for extended periods of time. Manual fans just don't keep up at idle.

To further add thought
There is the parasitic drag. Ele fans also help eek out every possibility of gaining fuel mileage.

Probably insignificant with the big ole V8 though.

Good thought on the fans after run to additionally cool things down because todays fuel blends are more prone to boiling when the motor is shut down.

Hello Bill....


I would go the "OldStyle Way".... with a clutched Fan ! I don´t like the "E-Fan" because they Need a lot of "energy " from the alternator...you have to upgrade your wireing you Need a "bigger alternator and battery... the look isn´t realy nice... and the E Fan Motor can fail.

I allways used the Fan with a HD clutch.... my car runs allways 180° F doesn´t matter if I drive on the AUTOBAHN with 90 mph or sticking in the City traffic with 90 deg. outside....My car has the OEM 22 " Radiator...a 5 Blade Mopar Performance Blade and a HD clutch from Hayden.... and a fan shroud of course!

concering the fuel economy I have to disagree btw. why ? Because the E-Fan uses also ENERGY coming from the Alternator...so the engine has to work "harder ".... so vs the Fan with clutch...it would be a win -win situation

Thank you for that very helpful information! I think any cooling concerns would come from if my motor had been tinkered with to get more HP. The only thing that my motor has different from stock is a mild high performance cam so I'm hoping I will not have any issues with cooling especially since it's only a 340 and I have the larger 26" radiator. I had my old radiator pressurized and leak tested and it had leaks where the person who owned the car before me had mounted an electric fan to it. He mounted it by putting the 4 mounting bolts right through the radiator. The radiator shop fixed the leaks only to find more leaks. So I'm in the market for a new 26" radiator. The cost of a new radiator is 1/2 the price of having the old one re-cored. The leaking radiator was not original to the car anyway. The guy at the local radiator shop did not charge me to test it in exchange to let him keep the radiator for scrap metal. With a new "clean" motor, new "clean" radiator, new "clean" antifreeze and a new thermostat, I don't think I will have any problems with the original fan keeping things cool (especially in Vermont).

Not much to report. Got my Detroit Muscle firewall gasket kit and paint gasket kit. Cleaned up the windshield wiper transmission and motor. Have a clutch z-bar rebuild kit on order. Sandblasted and primed dash.
Any advise good or bad is greatly appreciated.
