I broke a head bolt one time. I had to pull the motor to heat the block to get it out. Been there done that!

Every day I go to garage. Putting a car together after 8 years is a nightmare 😪

when i was 18 torquing a head bolt one broke i thought no big deal take of the head vice grip it out that worked like a charm didn;t know enough to get a new head gasket

I’ve spent a lot of time on 1 of this type broken below the surface. Finally had to go with an insert. Good luck to you.
I would have taken the block to the machine shop these days.
That one is not mine. But I have been there too, two many times is enough‼️ You think one would learn from it the first time. In a bad way. Under a car in the 77-78 winter blowing snow, very little room. Bumper death jack with block underneath. Broke an easy out off in the transmission line fitting. Tried to tighten a leaking fitting and broke it‼️

When building the Industrial 413 with my son, I introduced him to the bar torque wrench which was invited by a Chrysler engineer. Don't want him repeating any of my stupid mistakes.
