Clutch Pedal Help

Hi everyone, 70 Challenger R/T 440 six pack, 4 speed, I push my clutch all the way down and when i release it comes back up about 3/4 of the way and stops, if i barely pull on it, it comes up all the way. The arm that goes through the firewall where it attaches to the clutch pedal with the clip on it seems to be sloppy. Is it missing a bushing of some sort/ metal or plastic?

The clutch peddle rod has oblong holes as designed.

You need to determine which clutch setup you have installed.
A diaphragm setup typically has the stock OC spring removed and peddle return tends to be lower than a 3-finger B&B setup.
The OC (over center) spring works in both directions on a 3-finger setup. It assists in peddle effort to release the disc and it also returns the peddle to top when adjusted properly.

Clutch Pedal Return Spring Noise

Started to hear a clicking/spring noise from around the clutch pedal return spring when pressing down the clutch pedal. Looked for any obvious lube points but can't seem to get it right. Anybody else have this issue? Thanks!

Thanks Dave, I put it on my lift and found an adjustment problem in the linkage. I adjusted it and now seems fine.
