That's exactly what you should do. The #549 and #553 manifolds fit the A body 340 cars as well. There is often a set or two floating around FABO at any given time. It's interesting the price increase in those things in the last year or two. For a long time, a nice set would sell for $500. Now they are $7-800 with the really nice pairs commanding upwards of a thousand.Thanks- that's what I'll be doing,giving it more time to consider. But... I may post a WTB for the correct exhaust manifolds.

Sounds Perfect!I'm will be putting my six pack on my AAR, was going back and forth on the header/ manifold, car will look stock pretty much anyways, so going with the manifold. around a 500hp stroker into a long head pipe into power stick chambered exhaust pipe, similar to the innards of the side pipes on the older vette's. Then found a place that sells AAR stainless exhaust tips that are not baffled in the trumpet outlet. probably will be loud as hell, but I'm good with that. I do remember someone was or did reproducing them. But I didn't know that they still were.
