I’m planning on picking up an extra orange box and was wondering if the current aftermarket orange boxes are pretty much the same or is there one that is more reliable. Thanks in advance…

The new orange boxes are not as reliable as the original ones , You may want to look at What Mancini offers , the best aftermrket ones are the Rev-N-Ator , Mancini also sells other options , Stay away from the FBO ECU , every one I have used has not worked well with power loss & or failure & there is no warranty .

I've been having problems with the potting material running out of my orange boxes.
Several different cars, well grounded, proper ballast resistor, away from heat.
Anyone else have this problem?

I have that problem also. Happened on 2 ECU boxes I have.
One sat on a shelf for years and all the sudden it started running out.
Other on one was on my 'cuda 40 years and about 3 years ago it started running out.
No idea why.
When I saw Mr Cuda post I was hoping someone had replied.

Like Chryco Psycho says, deal with what Mancini Racing offers. You'll be OK as they'll back up their parts.

I hve resealed the potting in the past .
Mancini used to sell a blue ECU with no name for $20 great for a spare & they performed well
