Yes, it flickers at times, then comes on solid at times, then goes out. I'm afraid it's possessed.Does it flicker? Stay on solid? My first thought was the signal light switch but it could also be a partial ground. That too could be in the switch itself or the steering column. It is where I would start.
If you have the original turn signal switch, I would consider swapping in a new one. Or....at least pull the old one out and inspect for bare or cracked insulation on the wires. Good luck. Patience and perseverance are the main ingredients. Trust me, it is not possessed.Yes, it flickers at times, then comes on solid at times, then goes out. I'm afraid it's possessed.
Thank you. I'll check that out. It's in the most convenient place. The housings front & rear ground through the body , if the ground is not good it can go through the light , so I would make sure the light housing is grounded properly or add a good ground to the housing / body
I had to get a new turn-switch, the old one was broken. The new ones fit so tight, I don't think they are designed to ever be taken apart after they are connected. I had to use a crow-bar and stick of dynamite to get it pulled apart after I had to take the dash out for the fourth time. I'm learning a lot of lessons...the hard way. I just have to enjoy the process, I guess. And you are right, learning to be patient is a must when working on these things. Everything takes 4 times longer than I plan for.If you have the original turn signal switch, I would consider swapping in a new one.
