Wanted: 70 Challenger cheap/bad shape (Updated 06/15)
Looking for a 1970 Challenger that is complete minus the drivetrain. Together or apart, doesn't matter.
My story is here if you want to read it: http://www.challengertalk.com/forums/f11/looking-my-dads-old-challenger-57844/
TL;DR: I was trying to help my dad look for the car he bought from my uncle who purchased it new. I found my dad dead on his living room floor 3 months after my step-mother ran off with another man, I won't go into details but you can use your imagination. I continued the search after his death and almost 2 years to do the day I found him, I located the car. The guy who owns it invited me up, has a huge mopar collection that he restored himself. He offered to trade me my fathers car for one in comparable shape.
I am looking for a car as close to this as possible:
As you can see, she's not in good shape.
I won't make any reservations here; I am trying to trade for this car as close as I possibly can. It makes no sense for me to trade him a car that is in better shape, nor does it do him any justice to try and swap him a car in worse shape.
Everything is there minus the drive train. He has gathered all of the parts to start restoration but is doing 2 Super Bee's first.
I'm hoping someone out there can help me out. I'm not looking to rip anyone off, but I'm also not looking to pay a ridiculous amount of money either.
Thanks.
