Fuel pump pushrod fell into block

This is exactly what I was thinking of trying first if it happened on mine using a rare earth magnet. You can’t start it without the fuel pump pushrod anyway unless you use an electric fuel pump.
I have another pushrod , thats why I wanted to drive up on to ramps instead of jacking the car up .

I already did all that , since I never did this before I tried to put the rod back in the big hole , had no idea I was supposed to use the plug hole , thats just me not doimg enough studying , it fell down into the crank or oil pan I think , not sure .
So you took the rod out the plug that it is suppose to come out of and then decide to put it back in the big hole? Why!!!!!.

Never changed a fuel pump on an old car before , this is all new to me and was trying things for myself , simply messed up and now I know , I was going to change the oil pan out anyways so hopefully its in there .
