Hey all, has anyone shaved their firewall and relocated the wiper motor? I'm in the middle of my swap and stated filling all the holes. Problem is the factory shertmetal is paper thin so I'm not too happy how it came out. Since I'm going to redo it, I'm thinking I want to shave it completely and relocate the wipers. What are your thoughts on this? I'd use 16ga sheetmetal to do this.

Not sure what you mean by 'relocate the wipers'. Seems like a needlessly complex task to me.
What type of build are you aiming for? Is this a restomod?

This is a restomod with a hellcat swap. Really just want to clean up the firewall and get some additional clearance behind the motor.

I’m in the middle of doing the same thing with my redeye swap. I just used the 2 speed wiper motor to get the clearance I needed. It’s still really close though.

So.... I ended up redoing the pass side firewall. The factory metal is so thin it stsrted to have the tin can effect. I'll most likely keep the wiper motor and build some sort of cover to hide it a little more. I started cutting it out and the uppercowl started flexing and warping bad. I didnt want to make a bigger project out of it. Looking back at my RMS order I had Bill move the mount 1.5 inches forward for additional clearance. Hoping it works out, if not i'll re-evaluate then.
